    Our instructors are professors with years of experience teaching these same concepts at the university level. Our instructors also serve as public speakers and recurring trainers at organizations like CAMFT and university career development workshops. While we have extensive experience with the topics covered, we also strive to provide the material to you in the most relatable way possible with our humor and down to earth approach.

  • Live & Online

    Our trainings are hosted online for your convenience and live where you interact with an instructor and fellow trainees throughout the entire session. Unlike most of the other trainings available to MFTs, our instructors emphasize the importance of interacting throughout the entire session with breakout group activities and discussion-based learning.

  • Low cost

    Our training prices are significantly less than similar live trainings offered by other providers. In fact, our prices for live trainings compete with most offline/literature review trainings. We strive to be accessible to all therapists (licensed or prelicensed) from any background.

  • Networking Opportunities

    Our trainings offer you the opportunity to build relationships with like-minded colleagues while learning valuable skills. Our trainings all include discussion-based learning and breakout group activities designed to promote valuable discussion between you and your instructor and colleagues. Enrolling in our trainings also brings you into the Align Network which includes referrals of potential clients, invitations to our Align-hosted networking events, and our social media engagement/highlights.

  • Real-World Applicable Skills

    Our instructors emphasize skills and how you can apply the content of the training to real-world and real-life scenarios as opposed to the theoretical content you can easily learn from a handbook/textbook. Our training content contains a significant amount of case studies and lessons learned from our instructors’ career experience.

  • Free Previews

    Each of our trainings are available for you to preview at no cost and without any future training commitments. Free previews are hosted by the same instructor as the regular sessions and preview several topics so you can get a feel for the content and the instruction style. Our previews will contain more than our cap of 12 participants per training but this higher cap is restricted to these previews and not reflective of our regular trainings.

How it works

  1. Choose the training you would like to attend and complete the checkout process (after reviewing our policies below)

  2. You will receive a confirmation email of your purchase which you may need to reference when our team reaches out to you

  3. One week before your scheduled training, you will receive an email with the Zoom link for the training along with all preparatory materials: slides/handouts, assignments and any other materials necessary for the training

  4. Attend your training and receive your certificate of completion

Online Training Policies

Refund Policy

A full refund will be provided to registrants who cancel one week prior to the scheduled event.  Registrants who do not attend or fail to cancel registration one week prior will be charged full fee. Please send all refund requests to admin@alignonlinetherapy.com

Code of Conduct

Align Online Therapy strives to create a learning environment that is respectful of the rights and dignity of all participants of our learning community. Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a collegial, respectful, and professional manner while participating in all activities associated with this course. Participants are expected to exhibit behaviors and attitudes consistent with appropriate ethical-legal standards, and to refrain from any fraudulent, dishonest, or harmful behaviors such as cheating or harassment, which compromise the integrity of the standards of Align Online Therapy and/or impact the safety and security of fellow participants and training staff. Failure to comply with appropriate standards of conduct will result in the participant being removed from the training without refund and removed from additional trainings at the discretion of Align Online Therapy training staff.

 

Respectful Discourse

Align Online Therapy values and respects the perspectives and diversity of our participants in regard to ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, religion, age, and ability status. Thus, it is critical that training discussions include respectful dialogue about any issue that impacts the lives of our participants and the individuals, families, and communities that our participants serve.

 

Commitment to Anti-Racism

The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the American Counseling Association, and the American Psychological Association have all denounced racism. Align Online Therapy embraces an antiracist philosophy, supports the development of antiracist policies, and is committed to fighting racism and injustice.  We encourage conversations about race, knowing these conversations involve emotions and address the lived experiences of both personal and institutional racism. If you experience or witness racism or injustice in a training, you are encouraged to address it directly with your instructor when possible. 

Privacy Policy

In order to safeguard the privacy of all our participants and training staff in online learning environments, no individual may record, reproduce, screenshot, photograph or distribute any video, audio, or visual content from an online training.  This restriction applies to, but is not limited to, live online sessions, recorded lectures, live discussions, and discussion boards.  The only exception to this policy is one screenshot per training that trainers may take as a form of attendance.  These screenshots will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Any violation of this policy may subject the individual to disciplinary and/or legal action.

Grievance Policy

When a participant files a grievance and expects action on the complaint, the following actions will be taken:

  1. Participants will be asked to put their concerns in writing.

  2. If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the style of presentation, the provider will pass on the written comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual.

  3. If the grievance concerns a training offering, its content, level of presentation, the facilities in which the training was offered or miscellaneous occurrences, the provider will mediate and will be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, the administrator may:
    a. provide a credit for a subsequent training or
    b. provide a partial or full refund of the training fee
