How I support you on your path to healing and growth

It is crucial for you to remember that you are not alone and there is hope for a brighter future. My passion for helping becomes evident in our sessions because I genuinely care about making a positive difference in your life. Change is hard, but I work with you at your pace to help you achieve your goals.

Short-term goals: relief, reflection, triggers

When you first start therapy, you want to start feeling at least some relief right away. I help you identify your triggers and process complicated feelings like fear, anxiety and grief. We reflect on these feelings, understand how you experience them and learn skills to help you manage them without judging yourself in individual therapy or your partner in couples therapy

Long-term goals: confidence, connection, respect

Healing in therapy is a process. It requires you to learn crucial skills and techniques to help you manage your feelings (and potentially your partner’s). But the ultimate goal is to help you be more kind to yourself so you feel more confident, have more respect for yourself and have a better connection with the people around you. In couples therapy, this helps you establish vulnerability, safety and intimacy in your relationship

Align Online Therapy: Therapy that is efficient, convenient and effective

  • Highly trained

I have trained at multiple organizations, including one of the top treatment centers in Southern California. I am also a Pepperdine University and University of La Verne faculty member. My training and experience allow me to assess your symptoms more accurately, normalize thoughts and behaviors you may think carry a stigma, identify patterns that commonly cause anxiety or depression and make the correct treatment recommendations. Having the proper tools and techniques prevents wasted time and helps you find solutions that work

  • Diversity

For Align, culture is more than just ethnicity; we also consider age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, financial situation and any other aspect that affects the way you feel and react to your anxiety. I pride myself on working with a diverse team that helps me have an open perspective related to your culture. I emphasize culture when necessary to make sure that we are working on shared goals instead of working against a value you hold near and dear

  • Relatability

Relatability is the most essential part of my work with you. You will most likely share things in therapy that you have never shared before. It’s my responsibility to help you feel comfortable opening up so you can heal. Self-judgment, guilt and shame are complicated emotions that almost all of us feel on some level. I provide you with a place where you can let your hair down and truly get comfortable without worrying about your therapist judging you

  • Online

I do all my therapy online because it gives you and me the ultimate flexibility and convenience. You can connect with me in a private, secure session by using your phone or computer in any space you are comfortable. I also adjust the self-regulation and coping skills we practice so you can use them where you need them, such as at work or in a social place

  • Availability

I offer flexible days/times that are convenient for you because I offer therapy when you need it most. This is why I offer Monday-Friday mornings, afternoons and evenings. This flexibility helps when we need to schedule around specific situations like during a lunch break, after dinner, before difficult conversations or confronting triggering situations

  • Flexibility

I offer flexibility in scheduling but also fees. Our regular rate is $200 per session, but I have a limited number of slots I offer clients who need a lower price. This flexibility helps us make sure sessions are consistent even if you have to reschedule for a week or need more sessions without adjusting your budget too much

Diverse therapy approaches: Tailored to your unique, specific needs based on your identity

Emerging Adults

  • You feel pressure all around you in dating, school, work and somehow, you’re also establishing who you are as a person. This can all be so overwhelming. I work with you to help you discover your values, escape self-judgment and gain self-awareness. Then, we develop coping strategies for managing the stress and anxiety and help you navigate the difficult transitions

Couples

  • You are probably navigating your own relationship with your values and adjusting to your partner’s values and culture. I help you turn your arguments into understanding by teaching you how to openly explore each other’s culture, communication patterns and likes/dislikes. We set boundaries where they are needed and bring with you the essential parts you want to welcome into your relationship

Women

  • You are probably flooded with expectations related to body image, dating, relationships, marriage, having children or parenting. I help you process your thoughts openly, set boundaries and limits with others and redefine expectations for yourself around your own beliefs. Then, we develop communication skills like assertiveness that help you maintain comfort in your own skin

Men

  • You might be aware of your feelings but frequently hold them back because you don’t have healthy outlets, fear being shamed and were not encouraged to share your feelings growing up. I am approachable and compassionate in helping you nurture the softer you. Getting in touch with the sensitive parts of yourself actually helps embrace a more realistic and sustainable form of masculinity

Focus of treatment: Several life issues and symptoms based on your needs

  • Anxiety therapy processes your anxiety symptoms and gives you control over your thoughts, emotions and builds resilience

    Anxiety

Some anxiety is typical but you might feel anxiety and stress that you cannot control anymore, which means it’s time to get help. I create a welcoming environment where you can talk openly about the thoughts that add fuel to the anxiety fire. Together, we identify negative thought patterns and I employ techniques to help you challenge, reframe, or understand these patterns

  • Relationship therapy helps resolve conflicts and arguments by exploring emotions, gaining insights, and effective communication

    Relationship Issues

Relationships are complicated for many reasons: there is pressure but also two people means two different feelings, thoughts, and emotions existing in the same space. In therapy, I help you learn to manage your own emotions, understand the cause of your triggers and adopt a sense of comfort/confidence even when you feel alone and when you are with your partner

  • Depression therapy helps you overcome depression with tools to navigate challenges and find inner strength to build resilience

    Depression

Depression is typically sadness that lasts too long, combined with not feeling the energy even though there is so much to get done. I create a safe space where we can work together to understand the root of your depression. Depression doesn’t mean you’re lazy; you genuinely don’t have the energy, so we move at a pace that is manageable toward achievable, collaborative goals

  • Grief therapy and grief counseling helps you process your feelings on your time because the grief cycle is always unique

    Grief

Grief makes people uncomfortable, and this is why therapy is essential for processing grief. I provide you with a space where the focus remains on you away from the pressure you might be under to care for other people or present a certain way. Grief is just like trauma in some ways, so we have to treat you with respect, patience and space to heal how you want and when you are ready

  • Imposter syndrome therapy helps you stop convincing yourself and instead focus on exposure and tools that build confidence

    Imposter Syndrome

Imposter syndrome has a way of making you question everything about yourself. You probably have moments when you can convince yourself these thoughts aren’t true, but stress and anxiety in certain situations probably make these thoughts disappear when you need them most. I offer you tools and support that we practice in therapy so you can feel more in control

Other life issues I treat:

  • Trauma

  • Family issues

  • Panic attacks

  • Stress Management

  • Burnout

Treatment methods: Several to choose from based on your needs and my training/experience

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in helps you challenge automatic thoughts/beliefs, establish goals and practice skills

    Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

I use CBT to help you understand your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions to empower you to take control of your mental well-being. Most of us probably have thought patterns that hold us back more than they help us. With CBT tools and techniques, I help you practice healthier coping strategies, improve self-esteem and cultivate a positive mindset. I emphasize tools and strategies that we practice in-session and you can incorporate into your daily life to embrace the real you

  • Psychodynamic and attachment therapy helps you discover subconscious patterns, resolve traumas, find fulfilling relationships

    Attachment/ Psychodynamic Therapy

I use attachment-based therapy to empower you to break free from past struggles and forge a path towards a brighter future. We tap into the transformative power of connection, trust and emotional growth. We uncover the layers that hold you back so you can build healthy relationships that nurture your soul. Be prepared to start making peace with your past so we can help you thrive in the present and embrace a future with hope

  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) combines mindfulness, acceptance, and behavior change techniques to stop overthinking

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

I use ACT to help you to embrace who you are, flaws and all. Together, we help you let go of self-judgment and cultivate self-compassion. Then, we define your values, set meaningful goals and take inspired action to lead a fulfilling life. No matter the transitions you are confronting, ACT provides a framework to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps you achieve balance between your parts, helps you regain control over your decisions

    Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use IFS to help you achieve balance between these parts of yourself by creating limits and boundaries. These skills and techniques we practice allow you to control your thoughts and feelings effectively instead of letting them control you. Together, we tap into the parts of yourself that are aligned with your goals and inspire confidence, not fear and anxiety that limits you

  • Gottman Method couples therapy helps you increase your intimacy, respect and affection so you feel less stuck

    Gottman Method Couples Therapy

I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy to create strong and lasting connections between you and your partner. Most couples experience feeling stuck at times even though all they want is to feel more love, understanding and communication. Together, we turn moments of misunderstandings into moments of deeper understanding and empathy. Our focus is on increasing your intimacy, respect and affection which lowers the barriers that make you feel stuck
