Find Peace and Healing

Specialized support tailored for South Asian clients and emerging adults

With an extensive background of more than a decade, I have cultivated a profound expertise in guiding and supporting individuals who seek to navigate through challenging life circumstances. My primary focus lies in assisting individuals, just like you, in overcoming the overwhelm of anxiety and depression. Additionally, I am well-versed in providing valuable guidance during difficult times such as divorce or breakups, helping you heal in the moment and begin to plan what life looks like moving forward. Moreover, I possess a deep understanding of the complexities that arise within relationships. Whether it is frequent arguments with your partner or disagreeing with the wishes of your family, I help you navigate through the complicated issues to help you advocate for yourself and get your needs met by others. Setting boundaries is crucial when it comes to maintaining healthy relationships in various aspects of life. Drawing from my experience and expertise, I can guide you towards establishing clear boundaries that will allow for healthier interactions and foster personal growth. I also recognize the immense toll that work-related stress can take on everyday life. I offer support and real-life everyday strategies to help you effectively manage this stress and find a healthy work-life balance. Rest assured that by working together through these challenges, we work collaboratively towards establishing your identity and helping you confidently state your needs.

A wide range of expertise to address your specific needs

My area of expertise lies in providing comprehensive support to individuals and couples who are navigating through challenging life situations. I am well-versed in addressing relationship issues that may arise within romantic partnerships, as well as conflicts within families. My approach draws from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Bowen Family Systems, and mindfulness.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT allows us to focus on the negative thought patterns that are holding you back such as the constant feelings of guilt, feeling like your opinions don’t matter as much as others and even assumptions you make about yourself based on past experiences. My emphasis with CBT is to help you feel empowered to choose which patterns continue to help you and which ones you can leave behind after processing in therapy.

Attachment-based/Psychodynamic Therapy

Attachment-based/Psychodynamic Therapy allows us to really understand why you feel the way you feel in relationships or why you feel like you end up taking on the same role in all of your relationships. These familiar roles could be putting others needs before your own or letting others treat you in ways you would never treat them. My emphasis with this treatment is to help you implement ways that you can make your relationships serve you instead of the other way around, especially when obstacles get in the way.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Solution-Focused Therapy allows us to practice and implement everyday coping skills that hold you accountable but also lift your emotions temporarily. My emphasis with this treatment is to combine it with other forms of long-term treatment so you can start to notice where therapy is helping you before we get into the deeper causes of your life issues like anxiety and depression.

Bowen Family Systems

This family systems approach for couples and families allows us to identify and change the patterns that have caused you frequent grief in communication such as others making you feel like you are always in the wrong or confronting traditions within the family that no longer serve you. My emphasis with this approach is to help each person feel understood and establish patterns that make each of you feel understood moving forward in your relationships as well.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is incorporated into all the other treatments as a way of understanding how your body is reacting and what that means for you in a particular moment or situation. My emphasis is on more than just deep breathing and self regulation, we make sure that you are in touch with your body, such as when you are setting a boundary for the first time with a loved one or when you are going into a very difficult conversation. Your body’s reaction can often help us figure out the best next steps to help you approach these situations calmly and with grace even if you are feeling anxious on the inside.
