Each of these can lead someone to constantly doubt themselves despite being in a world where confidence and assertiveness can make the difference between being in a supportive relationship vs. an unsupportive one or even missing out on a job opportunity. By embracing cultural sensitivity and employing an empathetic approach, I strive to create a safe space where Asian clients and emerging adults feel valued, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Narrative Therapy
A warm and compassionate approach to storytelling to help you feel validated, understood, and empowered to seek what you truly deserve. The people who served as your role models growing up all gave you the best guidance and judgment they could based on the particular vision they had for you. Together, we rewrite the stories that no longer serve you and pave the way for you to be in control of your own story as you make decisions and change the way you feel every day.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
A set of techniques that helps you navigate your unique challenges by finding the root of the judgment and guilt that holds you back. CBT shows you that you are in control in order to build resilience and assertiveness, so you can confidently express your thoughts and ideas when making decisions that align with your values. Your voice matters more than you think, and it deserves to be heard.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
A set of techniques that allow us to explore the different parts of you, where they come from and how they impact you with the decisions you make every day. IFS gives you the opportunity to break free from expectations that do not align with your values and make decisions. Together, we help you let go of the self-doubt and get more in touch with the vulnerable feelings that you may have been taught to avoid.
Attachment-based therapy
A set of techniques that explores the past while actively changing your decisions in current relationships to align closer to your values. The relationships we have often shape us in ways we cannot control but as we become older, we have the ability to make choices we never could have growing up. You have the ability to choose how others treat you now and can make decisions with assertiveness and confidence outside of the box others created for you. Attachment-based therapy helps you reclaim your voice and embrace relationships that serve your soul.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
A set of techniques that helps you and your partner work past your defenses and focus instead on the reasons why you have conflicts to achieve lasting change. Most couples and families often argue about the same topics repeatedly without achieving any lasting change but this actually has more to do with the way we have the conversation than the issues themselves. You have the ability to communicate with others in ways that can avoid their triggers but instead access each other’s vulnerable emotions. EFT gives us the strategies and we practice them together to help you and your partner/family communicate more effectively.
Mindfulness
Incorporated into all our treatment methods where we take a moment to pause, breathe, and bring much-needed balance and self-awareness to your fast-paced world. By practicing mindfulness, you get back in touch with your body which allows you to truly start embracing the real you that exists despite all the pressures from the outside world. Mindfulness is more than just breathing, we use multiple techniques to help you embrace the present moment and find inner peace in the chaos of thoughts.
