  • “Jasmeet's lecture content is invaluable. I speak for many of my fellow students when I say this is the information you need to know when getting started as an Associate, yet it seems to be missing from many graduate programs. In this class, you will gain the knowledge necessary to enter the field confidently and competently. Jasmeet's course will prepare you to not only survive as a clinician, but truly thrive. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to take this course. It should be a requirement for all rising therapists!”

  • “The professor I recommend most consistently is Jasmeet Bhullar. The thoughtfulness, organization, and content of the class I took with Professor Bhullar was unparalleled. He presented the material clearly, concisely, and engagingly and continuously sought feedback on how to improve his already exemplary lectures. He has an amazing way of commanding the classroom with warmth and authenticity while also making room for discussion, curiosity, and differing points of view. I could not recommend taking a class with Professor Bhullar more."

It effectively provided me in-depth information about how to create a business plan in a way that I hadn't conceptualized before. It inspired me to be creative and lean into what works for me, not the industry. I'd take it again and still learn something new!"

  • "Jasmeet isn't just incredibly knowledgeable, he truly cares about educating the next class of growing therapists. Cannot recommend trainings with him enough! We've all had lectures on burnout, but Jasmeet's coverage of the topic is the only one that actually resonated. Not only did he educate us on what burnout is and how to mitigate symptoms, but most importantly, he helped each of his students learn to recognize the early signs of burnout in themselves so that we could gain the ability to prevent full burnout. This is an invaluable tool that we all need to have. Cannot recommend Jasmeet enough."

    — Samantha Rosenblum, MFT Trainee

  • "I took a Theories of Counseling course with Professor Bhullar last year, and he is hands-down one of the best professors at Pepperdine University! He has an ability to break down complex topics in a thorough and straightforward manner, while prioritizing his students' feedback throughout the learning process. His interactive teaching style is both engaging and insightful, and I was left with a personalized understanding of mental health."

    — Kimberly Montes, MA in Psychology Student

  • "Jasmeet was a wonderful resource to me as a student and is quite generous with his wealth of knowledge on starting your own business, managing burnout, and pursuing a career in higher education. I appreciated his kind, accessible take on practitioner burnout especially - this field loses too many passionate individuals due to the difficult balance of caring for others versus self-care."

    — Casey Moore, MFT Trainee

  • "I had the privilege of taking one of Fidel's classes in my first semester at Pepperdine. Fidel managed to accomplish something rare in a university classroom: to teach the material in a practical methodology while actually caring about his students."

    — Javeed Kassam, MFT Trainee LinkedIn

  • "I whole-heartedly recommend Professor Quintanilla in your journey towards becoming a clinician. Taking his course helped me learn how to advocate for myself professionally and personally, and I was so grateful to learn more about salary negotiation, scheduling self-care, and trusting your judgment in the room with clients. I have no doubt he made me a more confident therapist, and he will open your eyes to the diverse opportunities available to you!"

    — Casey Moore, MFT Trainee

  • "Beyond his knowledge of therapeutic techniques, Professor Fidel shared his personal experiences regarding private practice, working at a clinic, and the importance of self-care to prevent burnout. His honest insight into what it is like to be a clinician was invaluable, and his passion for the mental health field was evident throughout every class discussion. I am very grateful for the foundation and feedback he provided me in my first semester at Pepperdine."

    — Jenelle DeMedio, MFT Trainee LinkedIn

  • "Despite Fidel having a sense of humor, he can hold boundaries with clients that might not respect other people's boundaries. Fidel's notes are good but can improve. (this is where I know they should improve, but I need to know what I lack). Fidel takes in more than most and should learn to say no. He does not have to take on every task presented to him. He works like he must continue to prove his worth, which is a good thing because he remains consistent daily. As a person, he is relatable and easy to talk to, which translates to being relatable to clients, and he can build a therapeutic relationship with most clients. Knowing that Fidel is on your team brings relief because you know when he starts a task, he will give you everything he has on that task."

    — Honey Bianchi, Program Director and LCSW LinkedIn

  • "Fidel is an excellent professor! His wealth of knowledge and personal experiences in the field enriches the class. In addition, he invites guest speakers who specialize in various theoretical modalities, which really helps bring the course material to life. Fidel puts his students first and genuinely cares about teaching them and setting them up for success once they become associate and future licensed MFTs."

    — Caitlin O’Donnell, MFT Trainee

  • "Professor Quintanilla is an incredibly effective teacher, and his passion for mental health and his great skill as a therapist inspired me more than any other Professor. He has a unique authenticity in his interactions, and an ability to convey genuine empathy and caring while staying true to his values and supporting his students and clients. In particular, Professor Quintanilla greatly enriched my understanding of ACT and my confidence in using this modality and its treatment interventions. I aspire to incorporate Professor Quintanilla's teachings into my own practice and to tailor my own style of therapy after his in order to help my clients (and students) in the same meaningful way that he modeled for us in class. I highly recommend Professor Quintanilla as a teacher and a therapist, and I very much look forward to working with him in the future."

    — Hayden Forster, MFT Trainee

  • "Fidel is truly a wealth of knowledge! I really enjoyed taking his course and appreciated his straightforward approach. Tells you what you need to know to succeed as a therapist and clinician. He truly is an example of practicing from an authentic place by showing up as you are while holding space for curiosity and learning. I could not recommend him more!"

    — Daniella Leon, MFT Trainee LinkedIn

  • "Fidel is always striving to step up and develop. His ACT knowledge applied to life skills is a great asset for client integration and non MH goals. He is very 'present' in the milieu which allows for greater support and immediate intervention. He is not only open to, but requests feedback and constructive criticism. In terms of growing edges, he has come leaps and bounds with balancing accessibility to clients with good boundaries. His charming self-deprecation can go a little deep and I wonder if he inadvertently minimises what he brings in professionalism, competency, life & clinical experience, culture (so many intersections!). With all the above considerations, as his clinical confidence builds, his ability to manage a case completely will be excellent."
